Early Birthday / Pre- Bachelorette Trip in Seabrook, Washington

I am truly and utterly obsessed with Seabrook, Washington after my trip this week. My incredible friend Lauren organized a jam-packed itinerary for our group of five! This was an early birthday / pre- Bachelorette trip in Seabrook, Washington for me and I cherished every second of it. If you’re headed to this coastal town, here’s your ultimate guide to a fun-filled weekend! :)

Bachelorette Trip in Seabrook, Washington

Rental Property: Sorry Knot Sorry

For our digs, we stayed at the wonderful Sorry Knot Sorry vacation rental. The owners are so gracious and friendly and set us up with everything we’d need during our stay. We enjoyed the private hot tub and fire pit, as well as the adorable sea-inspired interior. The home was pretty compact but we had ample space to cook together, play games in the living area, and sleep comfortably (this spot sleeps 6 in case you were curious)!

Charcuterie + Wine Tasting @ The Stowaway Wine Bar

Our first stop upon arrival was The Stowaway Wine Bar. It is simply the most beautiful spot! We shared three platters: charcuterie board, pesto/tomato/burrata board, and the baked brie + jams board. YUM. All the girls got their drinks of choice and collectively we enjoyed glasses of wine and cider plus a wine tasting flight. Couldn’t recommend this spot enough.

Dinner @ Koko’s Restaurant & Tequila Bar

An absolute gem of a Mexican restaurant, Koko’s is the perfect dinner spot for your stay. I ordered the Mexican enchiladas (delish) and guacamole + chips (equally delish). They were eager to make me a mocktail version of their jalapiña margarita (pineapple + jalapeño) which was simply stunning.

Caught Golden Hour @ Mocrocks Beach

After dinner our first night, we ran to the beach to catch golden hour and the sunset. We drew messages in the sand and enjoyed the breezy evening. When you stay at Seabrook, you have easy, walk-on access points to the Seabrook beach (Mocrocks) from three different oceanside neighborhoods.

Homemade Crepe Brunch in the Rental

Highly recommend spending some downtime at your vacation rental during your stay! On Day 2, we picked a phenomenal TikTok tiramisu crepe recipe and successfully whipped up some divine brunch. None of us had made crepes before and it was surprisingly easy. All of the kitchens in the nearby vacation rentals are fully stocked and all you need to bring is the ingredients!

Neighborhood Stroll + Daytime Beach Visit

While making our way back down to the beach after brunch, we discovered an adorable little library and the historic Dorothy Anderson Cabin located in the Alderwood District. Dorothy was a Scandinavian woman who visited the coast and moved quickly after. Visitors can now take a look at the original (now restored) cabin that was built in the early 1900s in Ocean City. “The cabin is the last remaining of seven additional cabins that Dorothy built for others to come and take in the beauty of the coast. According to the Museum of the North Beach, Dorothy’s cabins were one of the first resorts of its kind on the Washington Coast.” (Seabrook). The cabin also features a cute garden.

Candle Making Workshop @ Lorraine’s Candle Studio

A must-do when you visit Seabrook is a candle making workshop at Lorraine’s Candle Studio. The employee who helped us was so sweet and informative, making sure to explain the how and why behind the process. You start by picking your candle’s scent and vessel. Then, you pour your oil(s) of choice into the prepared hot wax, stir, and pour the finished mixture into your vessel! Then simply stop by to pick up your candle 2 hours later. Lorraine’s makes it easy for you to take a piece of the beach home with you. I made a delicious-smelling black cardamom & limoncello cream candle.

Lunch @ Rising Tide Tavern

A fantastic spot in the town, Rising Tide Tavern has wonderful options for lunch. We shared some salmon dip and I opted for a side caesar salad along with the cauliflower burger (add real cheese) for my meal. I really appreciated seeing so many vegan and gluten-free options on their menu, especially for such a small beach town. It’s a great atmosphere with intentional interiors, like the rest of the town.

Shopping Around Town

Next up was some town exploration. We knew we had to stop at the Sweet Life candy and ice cream shop featuring an endless amount of sweet treats, literally anything you could imagine! We also picked up some souvenirs at Seabrook Goods & Apparel. Other places not to miss include Joie Des Livres: The Joy of Books - an independent, family-run bookstore and Buck's Northwest - your one-stop adventure shop and all things rental for outdoor activities including bikes and boards (fun fact: I worked with Buck’s on some branding and web design work back in the day!).

Breakfast @ Blue Juice & Salad Bar, Vista Bakeshop

Two spots perfect for breakfast on the go are Blue Juice & Salad Bar and Vista Bakeshop. I enjoyed the Sunshine Bowl at Blue, featuring an acai base, topped with blueberries, banana, strawberries, granola, coconut flakes, and agave. I split a pesto grilled cheese with Lauren from Vista Bakeshop and picked up a loaf of sourdough for home before we hit the road - this is also a great spot for lunch and features a full menu!

All in all, my trip to Seabrook was unlike any other and I am already scheming up ways I can return! :)
